This page describes how Training With Totz works today. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.
This policy explains what personal information Training With Totz collects, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Parents: name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, the requests you send, bookings, payments you make and your account login.
- Children: only a first name or nickname, their class, the subject and what they need help with, lesson attendance and the tutor’s notes. We don’t collect surnames, school names, photos or ID numbers of children.
- Tutors: name, contact details, town, qualifications, experience, availability, profile photo, the results of our ID and qualification checks, and payout records.
- Website use: our site uses cookies for logging in and, with your consent, Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. You can change cookie choices in the cookie banner.
Why we use it
- To match your child with a suitable tutor and arrange lessons.
- To send booking confirmations, reminders, payment details and tutor notes by email.
- To keep children safe and check tutors.
- To keep accounts of payments and tutor earnings.
Who sees it
- Your child’s tutor sees the child’s first name, class, subject, what you asked for help with, and lesson details. Tutors don’t see your phone number or email address.
- Parents see a tutor’s public profile only.
- Our website host and email provider store data on our behalf. Video lessons use the tutor’s chosen video tool (for example Google Meet or Zoom), which has its own privacy policy.
- We don’t sell personal information or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep lesson and payment records for as long as needed for accounting, and delete or anonymise account details when you ask us to close your account, unless the law requires us to keep them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you or your child by emailing admin@finchathub.com. You can also complain to the Information and Data Protection Commission of Botswana.
