Who is Training With Totz for?
Parents in Botswana whose children are in Standard 4 to Form 5 and need extra help in Mathematics, English or Science.
How do I find a tutor?
Use Find a tutor. Tell us your child’s class, subject and free times. If a suitable tutor is already free you can choose them straight away; if not, we match one for you by hand.
Do I have to pay to send a request?
No. You only pay once we have agreed a tutor and lesson times with you.
Lessons
How long is a lesson?
45 minutes, online, one-to-one. Group revision classes are usually an hour.
What does my child need?
A laptop, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone, a steady internet connection, their exercise book and a quiet spot at home.
Which video tool do you use?
Each tutor uses a standard video-call link, usually Google Meet or Zoom. The link appears in your dashboard 15 minutes before the lesson. You don’t need to install anything for Google Meet in a browser; Zoom works best with its free app.
How do I know how my child is doing?
After each lesson the tutor marks attendance and writes what they covered and what to practise. You see it in your dashboard and by email.
Payments and changes
How do I pay?
By bank transfer or mobile money. We send the details by email and they also show in your dashboard.
Can I cancel or move a lesson?
Yes. Cancel from your dashboard at least 24 hours before and, if it was part of a package, the lesson goes back into your package. See the refund policy.
What if the tutor isn’t the right fit?
Tell us. We will suggest another tutor, and unused package lessons move with you.
Safety
How are tutors checked?
We check ID and qualifications and talk with every tutor before they are listed. Read the full safeguarding approach.
Can the tutor contact my child directly?
No. There is no messaging between tutors and children on this website, and tutors agree not to contact learners privately.
